Job Description

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed mechanical designs for industrial and manufacturing applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design requirements are met.
  • Produce and review technical drawings, specifications, and documentation.
  • Evaluate designs for manufacturability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Assist in prototyping and testing mechanical systems and components.
  • Identify and resolve design issues through analysis and problem-solving techniques.
  • Maintain compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Provide technical support throughout the product development lifecycle.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Mechanical Design Engineer should have:

  • Proficiency in CAD software and design tools including, Solidworks/Inventor, Vault, and ERP/MRP systems.
  • Proficiency in creating BOMs.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical principles and materials selection.
  • Experience working within the industrial or manufacturing sector.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
  • Problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering practical solutions.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
