We are seeking a part-time Management Accountant remote worker who possesses a strong understanding of professional services with a discerning eye for detail. The successful candidate will head up the Accounting & Finance department and play a crucial role in driving financial performance, working in tandem with senior stakeholders and reporting directly to the MD.

Job Description

  • Manage all finance functions within the business except Payroll
  • Liaise with senior stakeholders
  • Present and provide financial oversight to the MD
  • Oversee and manage financial statements and reports.
  • Develop and implement effective accounting policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Conduct financial analysis to influence strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with the Accounting & Finance team to achieve department goals.
  • Provide financial advice and guidance to management.
  • Participate in financial audits and implement corrective actions when necessary

The Successful Applicant

A successful Management Accountant should have:

  • Level 4 AAT or strong working experience of Management Accountancy
  • Ideally a degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
  • Robust knowledge of accounting principles and standards
  • Proficiency in financial software and MS Office
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and remotely
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
  • Capable of self-motivation in a fully remote independent role
  • Autonomous, problem solving character



You'll be the sole finance function covering everything except Payroll so knowledge, experience, confidence and ability to work independent is key to the role, although support is available whilst getting up to speed with the role.

The transactional finance parts of this role function is a smaller part of this role, there is a strong need for finance strategy and looking at ways to help the business owner understand their business from a financial perspective as well as providing insights and simplifying financial information to enable business deciions to be made simply.
