Job Description

  • Prepare monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary.
  • Assist in budget preparation and forecasting for various projects and departments.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
  • Oversee the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies.
  • Provide financial insights to stakeholders to support strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with external auditors during the year-end process.
  • Support the finance team with process improvements and system enhancements.
  • Maintain accurate and timely financial records for reporting purposes.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Management Accountant should have:

  • A professional accounting qualification or part-qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
  • Experience in preparing management accounts and financial analysis.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations.
  • Excellent proficiency in financial systems and software.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to communicate financial information to non-finance stakeholders effectively.
