Situated in 70 acres, yet only 12 minutes by train from central London, the College enjoys outstanding academic, co-curricular and sporting facilities, including The Laboratory, a RIBA National Award-winning Science and Arts building.Job DescriptionThe permanent Management Accountant will conduct the following duties:* To drive the preparation of consolidated annual budgets including collating, entering and reviewing budget proposals from budget holders (excluding salaries).* To ensure the completeness and accuracy of all nominal ledger postings.* To prepare, code and post nominal ledger journals as appropriate.* To prepare first draft termly management accounts including supporting schedules, cross-charges, accruals and prepayments etc.* To prepare termly budget v actual reports for presentation to, and discussion with, the relevant members of the College Leadership Team ("CLT") to assist them in controlling their budgets.* To liaise with budget holders, managers and staff to ensure the efficient and speedy processing of all transactions.* To assist in the preparation of financial information, including final management accounts, cash flow forecasts, investment schedules and other report for distribution to the College's governing body and its committees.The Successful ApplicantA successful Management Accountant should have:A degree in Finance, Accounting or relevant field.Professional qualification such as ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CA/CIPFAMinimum of three years' experience working within the finance office of a comparable sized organisationSolid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.Experience with preparing and managing budgetsWorking knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations.Proficiency in accounting software.Strong organisational and leadership skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.What's on OfferA competitive salary within the range of £55,000 - £60,00037.5 hours a week all year roundThe chance to work within an organisation that makes a significant impact.An inclusive and supportive company culture.Opportunities for professional development and growth.We invite all eligible candidates to seize this opportunity to be a part of a purpose-driven organisation.
