We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join our Accounting & Finance team in the industrial / manufacturing sector. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, be able to work in a fast-paced environment and have a strong understanding of financial systems and procedures.

Our client is a medium-sized organisation located in West Kent. They specialise in commercial services within the industrial and manufacturing industry, providing high-quality products and services to a wide range of businesses across the UK.

Job Description

  • Overseeing the accounting operations, including the review of journal entries, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable and statutory reporting.
  • Budgeting and forecasting
  • Variance analysis
  • Accruals and prepayments
  • Conducting detailed financial analysis to provide management with an accurate picture of the company's financial situation.
  • Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
  • Working with external auditors to ensure proper compliance with all regulations.
  • Developing and implementing financial systems and controls to improve efficiency.
  • Assisting with budget preparation and financial planning processes.
  • Performing ad hoc analysis and projects as requested.
  • Supporting with the management of the finance team.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Management Accountant should have:

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional certification (e.g., CIMA, ACCA).
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
  • Experience with financial reporting requirements.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in accounting software.
