A Management Accountant is sought to provide financial insight and facilitate key business decisions within a company based on the outskirts of Oxford. This position plays a critical role in the Accounting & Finance Department, focusing on preparation of month end accounting.

Job Description

The Management Accountant will have a key role within the Accounting department, supporting the Financial Controller with a range of duties including:

  • Preparing monthly management accounts and financial reports.
  • Assisting in budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Providing financial analysis to support key business decisions.
  • Ensuring financial compliance and maintaining internal controls.
  • Collaborating with other departments to improve financial processes.
  • Participating in financial audits.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders.
  • Supporting wider team with day to day accounting duties.
  • Contributing to the overall objectives of the Accounting & Finance Department.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Management Accountant should have:

  • A professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
  • Proven experience in month end reporting.
  • Expertise in financial reporting and compliance.
  • Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
