We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join our Accounting & Finance Department in Shrewsbury. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the preparation and analysis of financial information to aid in strategic decision-making.

Job Description

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
  • Perform variance analyses and prepare account reconciliations
  • Audit tasks ownership
  • Assist with budget preparation and financial planning processes
  • Assist with tax audits and tax returns
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP principles
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies
  • Participate in financial standards setting and in forecast process

The Successful Applicant

A successful Management Accountant should have:

  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree
  • A professional certification (e.g. CIMA, ACCA) or part-qualified
  • Proven experience as a Management Accountant or similar role
  • Solid knowledge of basic and advanced accounting and financial principles and practices
  • Excellent knowledge of cost accounting and reporting
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant accounting software
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving ability
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
