About Our Client

Our Mid Kent based client is seeking a Management Accountant to join them on a permanent basis. This client prides themselves on a strong workforce dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of client service and delivering outstanding results across all facets of their operations.This position will support a hybrid working pattern once settled into the role.

Job Description

  • Management of Assistant Management Accountant
  • Assistance with preparation of monthly management accounts and checks of gross profit variances
  • Journal entries for month and year end accounts
  • Monitoring cash balances and updating the daily cash flow
  • Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Year end audit requests
  • Production of Weekly Commercial reports
  • Partnering with Heads of Departments and budget holders monthly to review costs vs budget
  • Production of Weekly Commercial reports
  • Assisting with contract work/tender projects
  • Overview of Purchase Ledger function

The Successful Applicant

  • A formal qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
  • Management accounting and statutory accounting experience
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, SUMIF, INDEX MATCH, Pivot Tables)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • A highly organised approach with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
