The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and consistent operation of all machinery within a leading FMCG organisation. They will also play a pivotal role in implementing new practices and maintenance systems in the engineering department.

Job Description

  • Implementing and maintaining machinery in the production department.
  • Carrying out preventative maintenance on FMCG machinery.
  • Identifying and rectifying mechanical faults in the production line.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborating with the engineering team to enhance production efficiency.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
  • Participating in the training and development of junior engineering staff.
  • Providing technical support to the manufacturing team as required.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Maintenance Engineer should have:

  • NVQ level 3 in Engineering and a time served apprenticeship.
  • Previous experience in a FMCG manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient knowledge of mechanical systems and manufacturing machinery.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a detail-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
  • The ability to work under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines.
