About Our Client

Our client is a global manufacturing business who provide advanced technology-led defence, aerospace and security solutions across land, air, sea, cyber security & intelligence, space teams. They are in 40 countries worldwide employing 93,000 globally, with the UK having over 39.5k employees.

We are working with their Air team based in the North West of England, who design, develop and produce world-leading combat and fast jet trainer aircraft as they look to hire a Legal Counsel into their in-house function.

Job Description

A successful Legal Counsel can expect to:

  • Lead the drafting, negotiation, and completion of contractual arrangements with customers and partners, contributing significantly to the growth and development of the business.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all legal requirements, encompassing health and safety, procurement law, product safety, compliance, export control, and ethical business conduct, to maintain the integrity of the Air Sector business
  • Engage early in dispute resolution processes, strategizing and implementing effective solutions to swiftly address challenges and uphold the business's reputation for excellence and integrity. Stay abreast of legal and business developments, providing valuable insights and training to support ongoing success
  • You will play a pivotal role in providing expert legal advice and solutions across multiple jurisdictions, partnering with international global customers and industry collaborators, and ensuring compliance with legal requirements

The Successful Applicant

We welcome applications from candidates from various backgrounds but would like to see around 2-5 years PQE, experience working within similar field, commercially minded and pragmatic candidates who are prepared to go to the office on a hybrid basis. They are based in the Preston area, North West.

Must have a current practising certificate.
