Job Description

  • Providing legal and regulatory advice on business banking products, unsecured lending, and financial services regulation.
  • Identifying and managing legal risk in response to regulatory developments.
  • Advising on consumer protection, compliance, and risk management strategies.
  • Drafting and reviewing legal documents, ensuring alignment with contractual and regulatory requirements.
  • Engaging with internal stakeholders, regulators, and industry bodies to shape legal and regulatory policies.



The Successful Applicant

  • A solicitor with 5+ years PQE, ideally with experience in financial services, banking, or regulatory law.
  • Experienced in advising on business banking, financial services regulation, and consumer protection laws.
  • Skilled in contract negotiation, policy development, and risk management.
  • Commercially aware, with the ability to balance legal risk with business strategy.
  • A strong communicator, able to influence and advise senior stakeholders.
