About Our Client

OverviewA highly regarded international law firm is seeking a Knowledge Lawyer to join its Private Wealth & Tax (PWT) group. This is a senior, strategic role at the heart of the firm's private client offering, supporting high-net-worth individuals, family offices, trustees, and fiduciaries across multiple jurisdictions. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the knowledge strategy, driving innovation, and supporting both client service and business development.The DepartmentThe Private Wealth & Tax group advises a diverse client base on the management and protection of assets in a tax-efficient and reputationally sound manner. Clients include international individuals and families, many of whom are non-UK resident or domiciled, as well as professional trustees and fiduciaries operating across major global financial centres.

The team provides bespoke, cross-border advice on tax compliance, asset protection, privacy, and governance. With offices in London, Hong Kong, and Singapore, and lawyers qualified in multiple jurisdictions, the group is well-positioned to support clients across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and the US.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Knowledge Strategy: Lead the development and implementation of the knowledge strategy for the PWT group, aligned with the wider private client and firm-wide goals.
  • Training & Development: Design and deliver internal and client-facing training, in collaboration with the firm's learning and development function.
  • Precedents & Know-How: Draft, maintain, and update precedents, client guides, and know-how materials, including through document automation tools.
  • Legal Updates & Horizon Scanning: Monitor legal and regulatory developments, providing timely updates and insights to lawyers and clients.
  • Client-Facing Content: Produce high-quality thought leadership, alerts, and articles for internal and external publications.
  • Business Development Support: Collaborate with partners and the BD team to identify and implement strategic initiatives, including content for pitches and client engagement.
  • Knowledge Systems: Manage the department's knowledge repositories and intranet pages, ensuring accessibility and consistency.
  • Risk & Compliance: Work with the firm's compliance team and partners to embed best practices and support regulatory change.
  • Technical Support: respond to legal and practice-related queries from fee-earners, offering strategic guidance and support.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Knowledge Lawyer candidate should have:

  • Qualified solicitor (England & Wales) with ideally 10+ years' PQE.
  • Deep expertise in private client and tax law, with a strong understanding of international wealth structuring.
  • Experience as a Knowledge Lawyer or demonstrable track record of knowledge contribution in a fee-earning role.
  • Excellent drafting and communication skills, with a flair for clear, concise legal writing.
  • Strong organisational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Commercially minded, with a proactive approach to business development and innovation.
  • Comfortable with legal technology and open to new ways of working.
  • Calm under pressure, adaptable, and solutions-focused.
