You will join a leading finance business partnering team, reporting to a head of finance business partnering you will support in the budgeting, forecasting and business planning for the college. This role will involve you interacting with various departments and providing key financial analysis.

Job Description

  • Support the production of the annual budget, in-year forecast, and monthly/ quarterly performance reporting. This will include Income and expenditure, balance sheet, capital expenditure, endowed and restricted funds.
  • Perform income and expenditure reconciliations to ensure accurate departmental financial reporting.
  • Act as the primary contact for department heads of & act as the business partner for certain departments allocated to you.
  • Recognise ways to increase revenue, reduce costs, and improve value for money or customer experience within portfolio departments.
  • Assist with the audit process by promptly addressing all queries from external or internal auditors.
  • Collaborate with the business partnering team to review audit findings and propose solutions to address any identified weaknesses.
  • Support the Head of Business Partnering in identifying, assessing, and monitoring financial risks for your portfolio.
  • Stay connected with peers and participate in networking groups to discover improvements.

The Successful Applicant

  • To be successful in this role it will be essential that you hold excellent communication skills and are able to work with a wide range of financial and non-financial stakeholders.
  • Good with excel and the Microsoft package- any exposure to sun systems would be beneficial.
  • Willingness to study for AAT/ a CCAB qualification.
  • Experience in a finance department, understanding of a budget, forecast etc.
  • Ability to balance multiple tasks.
  • Strong ability to work well in a team setting.
