A Financial Services Client of mine based in the city of London is looking for a skilled Jira Developer to join them ASAP on an initial 3 month contract basis with the possibility of an extension.

About Our Client

My client is a financial services firm who have direct links to centre government and help small businesses in the UK access finance, grow, and prosper. They have an office based in the heart of London but for this role you will be working remotely and only occasionally commuting to the office as and when required once or twice.

Job Description

Your key responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:



  • Engage with business teams to gather the requirements


  • Create technical documentation for new solutions for reporting and reference


  • Produce clean and efficient code based on the specification


  • Design, Test, verify, work with internal teams to deploy changes following SDLC process


  • Review the existing set up and configuration to recommend system improvement including cost savings proposals and execute improvements.


  • Work with analyst, project team and vendors to produce improvements in line with business processes.


  • Monitor and maintain system by introducing corrective software defects

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will have the following experience:



  • Hands-on experience administering and developing Jira Software, Jira Service management, Confluence, Advanced Roadmaps, Insight Asset Management, Ops Genie, Status Page, Configuration Manager for Jira and Jira/Confluence Cloud Migration Assistant


  • Extensive knowledge of add-ons such as Script Runner, eazyBI, Load Runner, Zephyr Scale, Calendar for Jira and Power BI Connector.


  • Expert with creating and building Jira workflows, Custom Fields, Screens, Field Configuration, Notification, Permission Scheme, Issue Security, Indexing and Integration with External Tools.


  • Experience in Jira integration with other APIs


  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Groovy, Java, JQL.


  • Solid understanding of ITSM and Agile principles and methodologies


  • Worked on JIRA Agile projects like Creating Scrum/Kanban boards, Dashboards, Filters and Reports


  • Experience with JIRA Upgrade with minimal down time.


  • Experience in Atlassian tool suites, (installation, deployment, configuration, migration, upgrade, patching, provisioning, server management etc.)

On offer for a successful candidate is the ability to work remotely earning up to £500 per day Inside IR35 for an initial 3 month contract with the possibility of an extension.
