Job Description

  • As the IT Support Engineer, you will be working as part of an established team that serves as the primary point of contact for all IT-related inquiries across a number of Midlands offices.
  • You will cover a range of senior-level BAU at a 3rd Line level, maintaining, troubleshooting, and ensuring the smooth operation of network systems, servers, and cloud-based services.
  • In addition, you will overlap into project-based responsibilities with the Senior Infrastructure team, predominantly within a Microsoft environment covering technologies including Azure and Office365 from a migration and upgrade perspective.
  • Alongside the core elements of Modern Workplace and server work, you will also cover networking across LAN/WAN, VPNs and firewalls.
  • You will also ensure compliance with IT policies, manage assets, track IT performance, and liaise with vendors for hardware/software procurement and upgrades.

The Successful Applicant

As the successful candidate for the IT Support Engineer position, you will have the below experience:



  • Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years commercial experience under your belt in a similar IT Support Engineer role managing IT operations across different locations.


  • Microsoft: You will be comfortable with Microsoft technologies, including Office365, Windows OS, and cloud platforms, particularly Azure.


  • Networking: As well as the Microsoft skill-set, you will have networking experience across areas including Cisco Meraki, LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, and more.


  • Communication Skills: You've got the knack for explaining complex tech in a way everyone can understand - whether you're presenting to senior leaders or chatting with your team.


  • Adaptability & Creativity: You thrive on change, thinking outside the box to find creative solutions to challenges, especially when the business evolves!


  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field will be desirable, but by no means essential.
