Job Description

  • Lead and manage the legal department, ensuring smooth daily operations.
  • Provide strategic legal advice to senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legal regulations and industry updates.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and legal documents.
  • Oversee dispute resolution and manage external legal counsel when necessary.
  • Support the business with risk management strategies and legal training initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align legal advice with business objectives.
  • Monitor changes in laws and regulations that impact the industrial and manufacturing sector.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Interim Head of Legal should have:

  • A strong background in broad commercial work.
  • Knowledge of Consumer Credit and/or FCA regulatory work is highly desirable.
  • Proven leadership skills, with experience managing legal teams or departments.
  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills for contracts and agreements.
  • A thorough understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
