We're seeking an Interim Financial Controller with a strong background in accounting and finance for the engineering industry. This key role will provide financial leadership and strategic insight, contributing to the overall financial health of our organisation by improving processes and financial reporting.

Job Description

  • Leading and managing the finance team.
  • Overseeing financial reporting and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards.
  • Developing and implementing financial strategies to support business goals.
  • Preparing monthly management accounts and cash flow forecasts.
  • Managing budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Ensuring effective financial control systems are in place.
  • Providing financial advice to the management team.
  • Liaising with Auditors
  • Manage payroll, VAT returns
  • Bank Reconciliations

The Successful Applicant

A successful Interim Financial Controller should have:

  • A professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
  • Can demonstratre a background in a senior financial role within the engineernig / tecnology industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a team.
  • Excellent knowledge of financial reporting standards.
  • Proven background in monthly management accounts.
  • A strategic thinker with excellent decision-making abilities.
  • Superb communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • IT: SAGE 50 (essential)
