Job Description

  • Develop and implement strategic procurement initiatives and category management plans.
  • Provide a proactive procurement service to the Care Group or Corporate Division(s) that you work with, covering both strategic advice and operational support.
  • Establish relationships with key suppliers to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to achieve procurement objectives.
  • Monitor supplier performance and carry out regular performance reviews.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement best practices in procurement.
  • Ensure compliance with public sector procurement regulations and policies.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to improve supply chain efficiency.
  • Manage risks within the procurement and supply chain department.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Interim Category Lead should have:

  • A degree in Business, Economics, or related field.
  • Proven experience in procurement and supply chain management in the public sector.
  • Expertise in strategic procurement and category management.
  • Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
  • In-depth understanding of public sector procurement regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
