Job Description



  • Provide expert HR advice, coaching and guidance to line managers to support best practice people management aligned to business strategy.


  • Act as a strategic HR partner to a business unit, ensuring all HR activities are implemented consistently and effectively.


  • Support leadership teams in building high-performing teams through strong people governance, succession planning, and capability development.


  • Contribute to business planning and transformation projects by providing robust people insights and project leadership.


  • Manage employee relations cases with integrity and timeliness, promoting effective communication and engagement across the business.


  • Lead the delivery of key HR initiatives including talent development, L&D, recruitment planning, and annual reward cycles.


  • Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion through proactive resourcing and development strategies.


  • Partner closely with HR Centres of Excellence and Shared Services to ensure consistent application of policy and process.


  • Champion the business's commitment to health, safety, and well being.



The Successful Applicant



  • Degree-qualified (or equivalent) with a minimum CIPD Level 5 accreditation.


  • Proven experience in delivering HR services across a geographically dispersed business unit.


  • Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and best practice HR approaches.


  • Commercially minded with a pragmatic approach to problem-solving in fast-paced environments.


  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.


  • Skilled in coaching, performance management, and leading change initiatives.


  • Strong analytical and data interpretation abilities with high levels of commercial acumen.
