Job Description

As the Head of Supply Chain you will,

  • Review and manage all supply chain and procurement operations, including purchasing, supply planning, demand planning, production planning, logistics, and import / export
  • Implement effective strategies for procurement and vendor management, specifically focusing on forward capacity, and benefiting on cost from increased volumes
  • Work closely with sales and customers to help shape lead time expectations, and manage capacity within the supply chain
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers (material and subcontract manufacturers) and key stakeholders
  • Lead, motivate, and train the supply chain team based at the Cheshire location, reviewing structure and skill sets
  • Report on supply chain performance and implement improvements, demonstrating value
  • Contribute to an ERP roll-out, supporting adoption, and benefiting from the increased visibility

The Successful Applicant

The successful Head of Supply Chain should have:

  • A working knowledge of supporting both manufacturing and distribution operations
  • Track record in a managerial role within procurement and supply chain
  • Demonstrable knowledge of supply chain processes and procurement strategies that have been deployed to support a global customer base
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship-building abilities
