Job Description

  • Develop and implement strategic public diplomacy campaigns to enhance engagement with target audiences.
  • Oversee the design and delivery of marketing materials aligned with the organisation's objectives.
  • Provide support to the Executive Leadership team, key ministers both in the UK & Internationally.
  • Foster partnerships with external stakeholders to promote cultural and diplomatic initiatives.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of public diplomacy activities, providing regular reports and recommendations.
  • Manage budgets and resources to ensure efficient delivery of programmes.
  • Lead a team of professionals, providing guidance and fostering a collaborative work environment.



The Successful Applicant

A successful Head of Public Diplomacy should have:

  • Proven experience in strategic communications across all channels, with an appreciation of international relations to reach diverse audience groups
  • Demonstrable examples of supporting & influencing senior leaders, ministers and stakeholders to deliver strategic goals.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and partnership-building skills.
  • Leadership abilities with experience in managing teams and resources.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of cultural and diplomatic policies & protocols is advantageous.
  • A proactive and results-driven approach to achieving objectives.
  • Some UK travel and anti-social hours due to key events (planned) is required
  • Office based - London/West End.

What's on Offer

  • Competitive salary up to £78,000 depending on suitability and skills.
  • 11% pension contribution.
  • 20 days of annual leave plus 14 bank holidays.
  • 12 Month Fixed Term Contract - based on availability to start from end of September (ideally)
