Job Description

The Head of Procurement will be responsible for;

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive procurement strategy
  • Manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery
  • Oversee the procurement department, setting clear goals and performance metrics
  • Identify and mitigate potential supply chain risks
  • Collaborate with other department heads to align procurement strategy with business goals
  • Implement cost-saving measures and efficiency improvements
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies
  • Stay updated with the latest trends in the Industrial/Manufacturing sector and adjust procurement strategy accordingly

The Successful Applicant

The position is based in Yeovil and requires a strategic thinker with expertise in logistics and supply chain management.

  • A degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field
  • Proven experience in a managerial procurement role in the Industrial/Manufacturing sector
  • Strong negotiation and relationship management skills
  • Excellent strategic planning and organisational skills
  • Thorough understanding of supply chain and logistics
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team
