They are recognised for their strong presence in their field and commitment to maintaining high operational standards.Job DescriptionAs a Head / Senior Procurement Manager, you will have the autonomy to manage the UK procurement division for a global manufacturer. You will need to be both strategic and hand-on in the role as you will lead on all procurement / supply chain activities. You will be managing multiple categories which include packaging, repair materials, consumables, services, transport/ logistic, and warehousing. You must have experience working in this category area, but the biggest spend is within transport/ logistics/fleet and facilities management. This is a real area of growth with lots of potential for a candidate who has full end to end procurement skills.Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet business objectives.Oversee supplier selection, negotiation, and relationship management.Ensure compliance with procurement policies and industry regulations.Analyse market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities.Collaborate with internal teams to align procurement activities with operational goals.Monitor and evaluate supplier performance to maintain quality standards.Manage procurement budgets and report on expenditure.The Successful ApplicantA successful Head / Senior Procurement and Logistics Manager should have:Previously worked as a Head of Senior Procurement Manager (Indirect Procurement). You must have managed logistics, transport and warehousing within a manufacturing / logistics type environment.Proven experience in procurement within the industrial, packaging or manufacturing sector.Experience of category management - You will be managing multiple categories which include packaging, repair materials, consumables, services, transport/ logistic and warehousingStrong knowledge of procurement practices and supply chain management.Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills.Ability to develop and implement cost-effective procurement strategies.Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities.Experience managing and mentoring teams to achieve objectives.Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and compliance requirements.What's on OfferCompetitive salary in the range of up to c£85,000 + bonus + benefits This is a great opportunity, to make the role your own, it has lots of scope to develop and be able to make an impact. The role requires site presence as you will be dealing with staff and supplies in the factory. It is essential that you can manage stakeholders at all levels and be able to manage supplies, negotiation contracts and deal with write tenders. You will be dealing with end-to-end procurement and be accountable for the supply chain in the UK. You will also with the EMEA region, and some travel will be involved. Please note, currently this role is stand-alone so you must be comfortable be strategic but still be able to carry out day to day procurement's.
