Job Description

  • Overseeing daily operations in the logistics department.
  • Developing and implementing strategic plans for operational efficiency.
  • Ensuring best practice and operational standards are implemented and furthered.
  • Managing team performance and fostering a positive work culture.
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements.
  • Collaborating with other departments to align with business objectives.
  • Preparing and managing the department's budget.
  • Reporting on operational performance to senior management.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Head of Logistics Operations should have:

  • Experience leading a national operation and developing managers
  • Proven experience in a managerial role within high volume logistics environments
  • Strong knowledge of logistics and supply chain operations.
  • Exceptional leadership skills and the ability to motivate a team and develop all seniority's within their team.
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills and the ability to manage varied workloads
  • Experience with high volumes of driver populations is very advantageous
