About Our Client

Joseph Rowntree Housing Trust (JRHT) strives to be a housing association that is sustainable and engaging, provides high quality and continuously improving services and decent affordable homes in well managed communities prioritising those in greatest need. They were established more than 110 years ago by Joseph Rowntree to provide housing in communities and work alongside the Joseph Rowntree Foundation.

They manage approximately 2,620 homes, located across Yorkshire and the North East. Their homes include apartments, houses, and bungalows. They provide homes for single people, couples, families, and older people. Some of their homes have been adapted to support people living with disabilities. They also provide extra care and support if needed.

They act as a landlord to residents who rent their homes. They also invest and support communities to enhance the lives of people living there.

Job Description

  • Lead the strategic planning and delivery of housing services.
  • Oversee property management operations to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement housing policies.
  • Monitor and improve service quality to meet residents' needs.
  • Ensure compliance with housing regulations and industry standards.
  • Manage budgets and resources effectively to achieve operational goals.
  • Build relationships with external stakeholders and community partners.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the housing team.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Head of Housing should have:

  • Proven experience in housing or property management within the housing.
  • Strong knowledge of housing regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.
  • A track record of delivering high-quality housing services.
