Head of Finance

The Head of Finance will be a key member of the management team and be responsible for:

• Leading, mentoring and developing a team of 3 direct reports
• Management of all day to day financial controls, reconciliations, inputs and payments.
• Preparation and ownership of monthly management accounts and month end reporting.
• Preparation and ownership of annual statutory accounts working with external accountants
• Identifying those KPI's for the business that make the difference and producing regular reports the Board
• Ensure that all variances are understood and deliver insightful commentary that helps to influence the company direction and strategy.
• Reporting and monitoring actual department timesheets, income and costs against budget and identifying efficiencies
• Ensure that balance sheet reconciliations are reviewed to agreed deadlines
• Management and ownership of monthly payroll process (delivered via an external service)
• Management of internal Tax processes
• Develop and own the planning, budgeting, cash flow and financial modelling processes for the company.
• Oversight of Debtors and Credits and supplier payment runs
• Reporting revenue by service type and client and provide insights to drive commercial decisions
• Improve understanding of how to measure job profitability in near real time
• Ensure robust internal control systems operate across the company
• Assist with ad-hoc reporting and analysis requests from senior colleagues and team members.
