About Our Client

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Export Director for a market leading manufacturer of engineered construction products to continue the companies growth strategy outside of their established UK region, developing their global markets.

The business and wider group have a long standing heritage of excellence in the manufacturer and supply of a variety of products dating back to the middle of the twentieth century. All of their businesses have strong positions and brands in their individual specialist markets.

Job Description

  • Create and implement a robust export sales strategy to secure and increase share of their export markets. This will be demonstrable through positive sales turnover growth and increased profit margin
  • Lead the remote sales teams based outside of the UK including the Middle East, Asia and Americas.
  • Represent the business externally, building strategic relationships as well as training and developing key local area distributors based across the export region.
  • Work within a project based technical sales role with a focus on infrastructure project-based business with their products used across the built environment including commercial buildings, airports, ports, warehouses and for new build and refurbishment specifications.
  • Identify and define opportunities for business development across international markets adding new specialist distributors where necessary.

The Successful Applicant

  • Experienced of working for UK based manufacturing businesses who have experienced incremental growth across their international markets, ideally within the Building Products / Civil Products supply sectors.
  • Proven background in developing strong and sustainable customer relationships, as well as value-added solutions.
  • Can demonstrate excellent leadership capabilities, with a proven record of recruiting, mentoring and developing successful international teams.
  • A background of international travel and working in multi-cultural environments will be essential.
  • A willingness to travel extensively will be required for this role.
