Job Description

A successful General Manager will need to:

  • Oversee all logistics operations within the warehousing and distribution department
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders within the industry
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
  • Manage budgets and P&L
  • Lead and inspire a high-performing team
  • Monitor performance metrics and implement necessary improvements
  • Collaborate with other departments to align strategies and goals

The Successful Applicant

A successful General Manager should have:

  • Proven experience in a managerial role within the warehousing & distribution industry
  • A background managing operations in fast-paced fulfilment environments
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire a team
  • Excellent strategic planning and problem-solving abilities
  • A solid understanding of health and safety regulations in logistics
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skill
  • A background in Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain
  • The ablitiy to commute to S. Derbyshire daily.
