Job Description

  • Oversee the fit and construction of womenswear garments, ensuring they meet design specifications.
  • Collaborate with designers and suppliers to resolve technical issues and improve product quality.
  • Conduct garment fittings and provide feedback to achieve the desired fit and finish.
  • Develop and maintain accurate technical packs, including size specifications and construction details.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and testing requirements for all products.
  • Monitor production processes to identify and address potential issues early.
  • Assist in reducing costs while maintaining high-quality standards through effective technical solutions.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements to contribute to continuous improvement.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Garment Technologist - Womenswear should have:

  • Proven experience in garment technology, particularly in womenswear.
  • A strong understanding of garment construction, fabrics, and fit.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in creating and interpreting technical packs.
