Job Description

  • Business partnership - as a key member GSC finance team, immersed in the wider organisation, there is a requirement to develop strong working relationships with Operating entities, UK Finance and the Central senior leadership team
  • Reporting responsibilities including. Financial cycles - Support the GSC senior finance leaders with the creation and communication of reporting timelines.
  • Management reporting - Analyse and interpret financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, providing proactive recommendations to optimise financial performance to aid strategic decision making
  • Cost management & forecasting - Support the GSC Senior leadership team in producing robust forecasts, and identifying (rapidly and early) those areas where the financial outlook for the business requires corrective management action
  • Project Support - support the implementation of a standardised process for project business case review, appraisal and cost tracking. With the aim to own the process on completion

The Successful Applicant

  • A qualified accountant (ACA,CIMA, ACCA)
  • Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-finance colleagues.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
