They are known for their commitment to high-quality products and services, as well as their focus on continuous improvement and growth.Job DescriptionThis is newly created role to assist the smooth running of the national distribution and delivery network fleet.Manage and develop relationships with fleet providers.Lead the specification and procurement of the national fleet, MHE and equipment.Oversee the operation of the fleet department.Implement strategies to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness in fleet management.Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.Monitor and report on the performance of fleet and equipment maintenance contracts.Handle contract negotiations and renewals (Maintenance, telematics, technology) .Identify and mitigate potential risks in fleet operations.Collaborate with other departments to achieve organisational goals.The Successful ApplicantA successful Fleet Contract Manager should have:Strong knowledge of fleet management, procurement and maintenance in a national logistics environment.Experience working with a HIAB, Moffett and crane fleets is advantageousExcellent negotiation and relationship management skills.The ability to analyse data and make informed decisions.A thorough understanding of industry regulations and safety standards.Exceptional negotiation skillsExceptional problem-solving abilities.What's on OfferAn estimated salary range of £45,000 to £55,000, and a generous car allowance.This is a hybrid role with 3 days per week in the office/ meeting with national suppliersA supportive and collaborative work environment.Opportunities for professional growth and development.A rewarding role in a reputable specialist builder merchant.The company values dedication and provides an environment for you to thrive in your role as a Fleet Contract Manager.
