Save Job Back to Search Job Description Summary Similar Jobs12 Month fixed term role with potential to become permanentCompetitive salaryAbout Our ClientMy client is one of the leading providers of specialist housing and care for those in later life with properties across the entirety of Northern England.Job DescriptionEnsure the effective delivery of all fire safety works ensuring that they are completed to a high level of customer satisfaction and to a standard of legal compliance.Providing assurance to the Senior Leadership Team, ExCo and the Board on fire safety delivery matters.Manage the FRA remedial works, and ensure robust systems are in place for appropriate fire safety with all asset register items included.Undertake a review of the Fire Safety Management Policy and amend as necessary in line with legislation and best practice.Provide leadership and expert technical knowledge to manage compliance of all aspects of fire safety across all locations, ensuring that the services are maintained and improved.Assist in procurement of contractors for fire safety works, drafting work specifications and quality standards where needed, providing on going advice on the competency of contractors to undertake works.Improve the dashboard for monitoring FRA's and their actions, ensuring that all FRA actions are closed down through clear planning and coordination of the works within the agreed timescales.Establish mechanisms to manage and maintain property information for all aspects of building works relating to fire to ensure compliance with requirements.Consult with residents' leaseholders and other stakeholders as required.Support the Health & Safety Team where necessary in engaging with the Primary Authority (fire) and enforcing authorities to develop standards and resolve issues arising, with particular focus on fire safety remediation.The Successful ApplicantA successful Fire Safety Delivery Manager should have:Competence to lead and manage fire safety at an operational and strategic level.Extensive knowledge and application of fire safety management within care and social housing environments, including conducting and auditing fire risk assessments.A thorough understanding of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and associated guidance relative to care and housing.Experience of working within strict deadlines and to specified performance measures.Experience of responding to enforcement noticesProfessional qualification in a property/building related specialism i.e Degree, BSc or 5 years relevant construction industry experience.Hold a recognised Building Management or Fire Safety qualification (i.e. CIOB Level 6 Building Safety Management, BSC Fire Safety and Risk Management)What's on OfferA competitive salaryOpportunity to work in a meaningful sector, making a difference in people's lives.Agile workingYou are invited to join a team that truly values its employees and provides an opportunity to contribute to a meaningful cause.
