  • Performing regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability.
  • Developing, initiating, and maintaining effective financial crime compliance programs.
  • Collaborating with other departments to create a culture of compliance.
  • Providing training to employees on financial crime prevention and the importance of compliance.
  • Investigating any incidents of potential financial crime and taking appropriate action.
  • Keeping up-to-date with changes in regulatory legislation and guidelines in the financial services industry.
  • Preparing regular reports on the company's compliance with financial crime regulations.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Financial Crime Officer should have:

  • A solid understanding of financial services and compliance regulations.
  • Proven experience in a similar role within the financial services industry.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to deal with complex and sensitive issues.
  • A professional qualification in compliance, risk management or related field.
