By supporting the statutory accounting activities and guaranteeing the substance, accuracy, and timeliness of the financial statements, the financial accountant will make sure that the company, its suppliers, and customers receive an efficient and effective finance service.

Job Description

  • Participate in internal and external auditing processes to make sure that any related suggestions impact procedures and are applied appropriately.
  • Create monthly balance sheets for each Group's entities.
  • Examine monthly balance sheet reconciliations to ensure they are finished on schedule and accurately.
  • Responsible for improving VAT recovery within the legal framework and accurately completing the Group's VAT return or returns in accordance with the statutory timeframes.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
  • Assist in financial decision-making processes.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider Accounting & Finance team.
  • Make sure that record-keeping and accounting procedures change as needed to meet the most recent reporting requirements.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Financial Accountant should have:

  • Qualified or Newly qualified Accountant - ACA, CIMA, ACCA & CIPFA .
  • Knowledge and understanding of financial regulations and standards.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrable experience working as a Manager and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of VAT including partial exemption rules and capital goods schemes.
  • Ability to use financial software and databases effectively.
