The Finance Systems Implementation Lead is a crucial role responsible for overseeing the successful implementation of the new Oracle finance and HR systems within the Higher Education sector. The successful candidate will be located in London and bring a wealth of experience from the Accounting & Finance Department as well as having lead on multiple, successful Oracle implementations in the past.

Job Description

  • Lead the Oracle finance and HR systems implementation, ensuring that it aligns with organisational goals.
  • Develop and execute detailed project plans, including resource, time, and cost considerations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and document specific system requirements.
  • Manage relationships with vendors during the implementation process.
  • Conduct and oversee system testing, managing any changes or enhancements needed.
  • Provide training and support to staff members on the new finance systems.
  • Monitor the performance of the new system post-implementation, making any necessary adjustments.
  • Report on project progress to senior management and stakeholders.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Finance Systems Implementation Lead should have:

  • An accredited accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, etc)
  • Prior experience in implementing Oracle finance and HR systems, preferably within the university space
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in IT systems and software.
  • An aptitude for problem-solving and strategic thinking.
