With thousands of employees and a strong presence in the community, the organisation is committed to delivering excellent education services and promoting lifelong learning.Job DescriptionThe main duties the finance manager will need to carry out are as follows:Lead the finance team in daily operations.Managing the budgets of designated schools & professional service departments (PSD) and working closely with the respective budget holders in delivering targeted budgeted resultsManage financial reports and statements.Advise on VAT and partial exemption VAT rules.Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.Collaborate with senior management to set financial goals.Manage designated schools' enterprise income reporting and assist in their bids for research income, while identifying new income sources, opportunities to increase existing income lines and efficiency savings.Monitor and manage the organisation's budget.Conduct financial audits and present findings.Assist in the development of financial policies and procedures.The Successful ApplicantA successful Finance Manager should have:A degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.ACA Qualification is EssentialExperience in preparing statutory financial accounts & interaction with external auditors or relevant work experience in an audit practice performing external auditsProfessional finance or accounting certification.Strong knowledge of financial regulations and standards.Experience in managing a finance team.Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication and leadership skills.What's on OfferA competitive salary ranging from £50,000 to £60,000 per year.Generous annual leave of 38 days.A 10% non-contributory pension scheme.A defined benefit scheme.The opportunity to work with a dedicated team in a stimulating environment.If you are a Finance Manager looking to make a significant impact in a respected not-for-profit organisation, this could be the ideal role for you.
