About Our Client

My client is a well-established organisation. They are based in Oxford and are committed to making a significant impact in the community. You will report directly into the CEO and manage a team of 1 Finance Assistant and 2 Administrators.

Job Description

Finance Manager job responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement financial strategies for the organisation
  • Draft the annual budgets and produce quarterly management accounts
  • Oversee the monthly financial ledger
  • Profit and loss and bank reconciliations
  • Conduct cash flow analysis and forecast
  • Monitor tax, regulatory and compliance issues
  • Manage financial risk and ensure compliance with regulations
  • Monitor financial performance and recommend improvements
  • Liaise with external auditors and stakeholders
  • Provide leadership and guidance to Finance Assistant and two Administrators
  • Oversee all facilities contracts, such as IT services, telecommunication providers, office supplies, cleaning contracts and other essential services
  • Negotiate terms with service providers to optimise value for money

The Successful Applicant

A successful Finance Manager should have:

  • Proven experience in a similar role
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and audit processes
  • Strong skills in financial reporting and data analysis
  • Proficiency in using financial software and databases
  • Line management experience (preferential)
