It operates as a medium-sized entity, offering a stable and professional environment within the accounting and finance sector.Job DescriptionKey duties for the role include the following:*Day-to-day financial operations, including oversight of all purchase ledger activities, billing and monthly reconciliations.*Prepare monthly and ad hoc cash flow forecasts, along with comprehensive capitalisation schedules and cash reports related to the building plan.*Prepare and distribute detailed budget and expenditure reports to designated budget holders to support financial oversight and decision-making.*Support school trips by assisting staff with trip budgeting and processing insurance claims. *Support preparation of termly management accounts.*Support preparation of P11Ds, PAYE settlement agreements and VAT returns (including capital goods scheme).*Support smooth running of annual audit as key point of contact for auditors.*Line manage and develop three finance team members.*Undertake additional responsibilities consistent with the scope of the role, as reasonably required by the Bursar or the Head of Finance.The Successful ApplicantA successful Finance Manager should have:Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA preferred), or candidate with equivalent experience.MUST have practise, education or charity experience!Intermediate Excel skills and good knowledge of accounting packages.
