Job Description

  • Lead and mentor the finance team (4 direct reports) to achieve optimal performance.
  • Manage the preparation and presentation of financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Develop and oversee the budgeting and forecasting processes to support strategic objectives.
  • Ensure the smooth operation of accounting systems and implement improvements where necessary.
  • Analyse financial data to provide actionable insights and support decision-making processes.
  • Monitor cash flow and manage financial risks effectively.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment with financial objectives and practices.
  • Ensure compliance with European tax regulations and oversee audit processes.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Finance Manager should have:

  • Professional qualifications in accounting or finance, such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA. Candidates who are Qualified By Experience (QBE) will also be considered.
  • Proven experience of managing and developing a finance team effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Prior track record in financial management within a similar industry.
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and financial modelling.
  • Knowledge of relevant accounting systems and tools.
  • Understanding of European credit control and regulatory & tax compliance requirements.
