They have been consistently delivering high-quality projects across the UK, with a strong commitment to sustainable development and community enhancement.Job DescriptionManage the accounts and office function in the facilitation of day-to-day operations.Preparation of monthly management accounts.Prepare year end accounts ready for the external auditors, including wages reconciliation, hire purchase contracts reconciliation.Prepare and post monthly journals, to include insurances, hire purchase interest etc.Manage the fixed asset registers and ensure correct depreciation.Preparation of monthly and quarterly VAT returns.Preparation and submission of P11D.Monthly bank, debtors, and creditors reconciliations.Overseeing the processing of invoices and facilitation of payments under the Construction Industry SchemeMonitor employee holidays, absence/deductions, and attachments to earnings etc.Checking PAYE/NI/CIS/NEST and ensuring payment is made on the relevant date.Ensure that all the company's financial practices are in line in statutory regulations and legislation.Exercise sound personnel management of employees within the scheme of delegation.Motivate staff within a creative and supportive culture, ensuring relevant and regular communication is disseminated to the team.Ensure compliance with responsibilities specified within the current Health & Safety and Welfare Policy commensurate with level of employment and management responsibility and ensure that health and safety risk assessments are undertaken and that safe systems of work are followed.The Successful ApplicantIn order to be successful when applying for this role, you will need the following skills and attributes:An appropriate accounting qualification, or part qualified or be qualified by experience accountant who has a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role.Able to deliver results under pressure and to tight timescales.Experience in using accounting and financial applications.Strong excel skills, with the ability to prepare and set up accurate financial spreadsheets.Thorough understanding of business principles and practices.Construction or house building experience an advantage.Able to work independently and as part of the wider management team.What's on OfferA competitive salary ranging from £40,000 to £45,000 per annum.Employee Ownership TrustA collaborative and supportive work environment.Opportunities for personal and professional growth.Support with study and membershipsIf you are a strategic thinker with a passion for finance in the construction industry, this Finance Manager role based in Swindon is an excellent opportunity to take the next step in your career.
