Job Description

  • Provide financial insight to support strategic decision-making within the organisation.
  • Deliver accurate and timely financial reports and forecasts.
  • Collaborate with department heads to develop budgets and monitor expenditure.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and public sector guidelines.
  • Analyse financial data to identify trends and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Support the preparation of financial statements and audits as required.
  • Advise on cost-saving initiatives and resource allocation.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to align financial strategies with organisational goals.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Finance Business Partner should have:

  • A strong background in Local Government finance, ideally in housing
  • Hold a full accounting qualification
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis and data interpretation.
  • Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and compliance standards.
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
