Job Description

  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making processes.
  • Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
  • Collaborate with departmental leaders to align financial strategies with organisational goals.
  • Ensure compliance with public sector financial regulations and standards.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend actionable solutions.
  • Support audit processes by providing accurate and timely financial data.
  • Monitor financial performance and highlight risks and opportunities to stakeholders.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Finance Business Partner should have:

  • A strong background in accounting and finance, ideally within the public sector.
  • A professional qualification in finance or accounting (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) or Qualified by Experience
  • Proven experience in budget management and financial reporting.
  • An ability to interpret and analyse complex financial data.
  • Knowledge of public sector financial regulations and practices.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and identifying efficiencies.
