We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Assistant to join our client's Accounting & Finance Department within the Not For Profit sector. The ideal candidate will lead a variety of financial procedures, including month-end and year-end closings, accounts payable and receivable, tax returns, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries. Job Description

The Bookkeeper role will be varied and fulfilling, with main remits to include:

  • Ensuring that all the books of accounts are maintained on an accurate and timely basis
  • Handle monthly journal entries and reconciliations
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date filing systems
  • Process invoices and track expenses
  • Ensure the effective and timely administration of all grant payments
  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations
  • Collaborate with the finance team to complete assigned accounting tasks within deadlines
  • Prepare and update routine monthly, periodic and year-end financial statements including the cash-flow and non-grant expenditure reports

The Successful Applicant

We're looking for:

  • A demonstrable background in a bookkeeping role
  • Proficiency in Sage 200 software
  • Excellent knowledge of tax regulations and financial processes
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to handle complex numerical data
