The successful finance assistant will be based in Newcastle, and will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of financial statements and reports and ensuring accuracy of financial documents and their compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Job Description

  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports
  • Ensure accuracy of financial documents and their compliance with relevant laws and regulations
  • Assist with budget preparation
  • Manage organisational payroll
  • Prepare and update expense reports
  • Process invoices and implement payment processes
  • Record and update financial information in the database
  • Collaborate with the team to develop financial plans and ensure adherence to them

The Successful Applicant

The successful Finance Administrator will have:

  • Demonstrable experience in a similar role
  • Understanding of financial and accounting principles
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly MS Excel
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving
