Job Description

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on industrial washing machines and related equipment.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently to minimise downtime for clients.
  • Conduct on-site inspections to ensure equipment meets operational and safety standards.
  • Provide technical support and training to clients on equipment usage and maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate service records and document all work carried out.
  • Travel to client sites in and around Birmingham with a company vehicle provided.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to improve service processes and solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Field Service Engineer should have:

  • Proven experience in maintaining and repairing industrial or manufacturing equipment.
  • Strong technical knowledge in mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Willingness to travel locally around Birmingham and occasionally further afield.
  • A valid driving licence to operate the company-provided vehicle.

What's on Offer

  • £40,000 Base salary
  • Overtime x 1.5, and can be anywhere between 20 and 40 hours per month.
  • 20 days of annual leave, plus statutory holidays, increasing with length of service.
