This leading UK business has experienced impressive growth in recent years and are looking for a Production Operations Manager / Factory Manager to maximise productivity, minimise cost and maintain quality through effective management of their manufacturing teams. Job DescriptionThe Factory Operations Manager will have full responsibility for the day-to-day running of production, manufacturing and assembly across the site, and will have a huge impact on the strategic direction of the business.Responsibilities will include:Ownership of the production plan and its implementationWorking alongside engineering and supply chain to ensure on time delivery of a quality product to all customersLeading, motivating and developing a skilled workforce through regular communications and reviewsCreating and implementing relevant KPIs to track and improve efficiencyInstilling a collaborative approach across the team where people communicate with openness, honesty and with autonomy over their area of responsibilityModelling a 'safety first' culture, ensuring operational procedures, equipment and processes allow for a safe working environment for all employeesDriving continuous improvement activities and working alongside the MD to review strategic developments for the business's long term successThe Successful ApplicantSuccessful candidates will have a strong manufacturing background and a proven ability in leading and developing teams.
