Job Description

  • Develop and implement effective business development strategies to achieve company objectives.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Biotech sector
  • Working with API drug substance development teams to provide technical solutions to clients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment on client needs and project delivery.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations to potential clients.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favourable terms for the organisation.
  • Monitor and report on business development performance and progress.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Director/Senior Director of Business Development should have:

  • Previous knolwedge of API Development, Drug substance, Small Moledule CDMO
  • Ideally strong knowledge of CDMRO environment.
  • Delivers results through driving cross functional teams - technical, legal, sales
  • Track record of selling and then winning new busines
  • Well networked across Biotec sector
  • Proven ability to identify and capitalise on new opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client engagement.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • A proactive and results-oriented approach to achieving targets.
