Job Description

The key responsibilities of the Data and Insights Manager include:

  • Lead high-quality data analysis and intelligence initiatives to support strategic and regulatory objectives.
  • Produce and oversee intelligence products, such as reports and dashboards, on areas of risk and emerging trends.
  • Leverage Microsoft SQL programming to extract, manipulate, and evaluate data from relational databases.
  • Develop and oversee comprehensive data and intelligence monitoring strategies, incorporating new data sources to manage regulatory risks.
  • Manage and support line reports in conducting high-quality analysis and presenting findings to stakeholders.
  • Implement tools and techniques for data analysis and visualisation to enhance risk assessment processes.
  • Assist with and lead change projects in data management and other initiatives.
  • Champion the integration of advanced risk analysis and intelligence across the organisation.
  • Support the development and continuous improvement of the Regulatory Risk Framework.
  • Deputise for the Head of Regulatory Risk and Insights when needed.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate for the Data and Insights Manager role will have a degree-level qualification or equivalent experience, with a strong background in qualitative and quantitative data analysis, statistical analysis, and intelligence work. They will be proficient in SQL and data warehouse platforms, as well as technical proficiency in analytics platforms such as Power BI.

Key skills include the ability to collate, summarise, and present complex information to various audiences, gather user requirements for analytical work, and manipulate and analyse data effectively. Strong attention to detail, effective project and time management skills, and the ability to work to tight deadlines are essential.

Personal qualities sought include self-motivation, proactivity, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment. The candidate should be adept at building and maintaining internal and external relationships, and have a commitment to continuous learning and development. Experience in team leadership and management, as well as familiarity with regulatory intelligence and risk management tools, will be advantageous.
