Job Description

  • Accurately inputting customer purchase orders into internal systems while ensuring compliance with export control procedures.
  • Maintaining daily communication with multiple customer contacts to meet their requirements and expectations effectively.
  • Tracking and reporting delivery performance, escalating any issues to customers against agreed delivery commitments.
  • Providing regular updates and status reports to customers.
  • Collaborating with planning, production, and technical teams to ensure customer requirements are met on time.
  • Striving to meet and exceed defined customer service standards wherever possible.
  • Engaging professionally with customers through phone, email, written correspondence, and face-to-face interactions.
  • Investigating and resolving customer issues promptly and effectively.
  • Maintaining accurate records of customer interactions and correspondence.
  • Working closely with fellow Key Account Managers and the Internal Sales Support Team to ensure seamless operations.
  • Gathering and sharing relevant market intelligence as required.
  • Monitoring customer service performance and key performance indicator (KPI) trends, providing management with early warning insights.
  • Being open to UK, European, and international travel as required.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Customer Coordinator should have:

  • Proven experience in a customer-facing role within the Industrial/Manufacturing industry
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Proficiency in using relevant computer software and systems
