Job Description

The key responsibilities of the Credit Controller include:

  • Monitor and manage customer accounts to ensure timely payments.
  • Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to address overdue invoices.
  • Prepare and distribute regular reports on outstanding debts.
  • Collaborate with the Accounting & Finance team to improve credit control processes.
  • Ensure adherence to company credit policies and procedures.
  • Support month-end and year-end financial reporting requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all credit control activities.
  • Responsibility for your own customer accounts

The Successful Applicant

A successful Credit Controller should have:

  • Experience in credit control within the retail industry or a similar sector.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance standards.
